Hair straightening for a sleek look.

Flat irons are another hot tool that can be used on your hair. This tool is great for those who have wavy, frizzy, or curly hair because the flat iron literally just flattens the hair to give it a sleek look. While some use it to straighten their hair, it can also be used to curl. But for my own personal use, I like to use it to keep all my stray away hairs down and tamed. The flat iron pictured above is the Remington ceramic flat iron. According to Giulia Heiman, she stated that ceramic plates help to reduce damage and help guide the tool to glide through the hair without any tugging. Ceramic technology also heats up really quickly. By using ceramic tools, it would give the appearance of a more sleek and shiny style. “Tourmaline is a crystal boron silicate mineral that aids in the hair smoothing process. Tourmaline emits negative ions that counteract the positive ions present in dry or damaged hair”. I usually like to heat up my flat iron to 310 degrees because it’s not too hot because the higher the temperature, the more damage it can create for your hair.
